Oxygen (O2)

Quick facts

Oxygen is a diatomic molecule (O2) and a gas at normal temperature and pressure.
Oxygen is also present in 20.9% (by vol) of the atmosphere which we breathe.
Oxygen can also form, Ozone (O3), which is an important part of the protective ozone layer on Earth, protecting it's inhabitants from the harmful effects of too much ultraviolet radiation.
